Lighting this Diwali 

दिवाली पर रौशनी 

Flickering Lights 

Kindling Nights

Tiny Diyas, insignificant alone;

Come together as a majestic Phoenix flight 

for this night.

For some, it's win of truth over lie;

return of their beloved from exile;

victory of light over Darkness,

for some, it's to start afresh,

choosing right direction for the energy to harness.

For some it's maybe to have fun together

For some it's maybe to at least stick together

For some it's maybe to celebrate with the society's 'Outcasts'

For some it's maybe to embark on the new roads forgetting the past.

For some it's maybe to eat, live and let another day pass.

Life's a journey every other day is a milestone,

Just like tiny Diyas, insignificant alone,

work hard on walking all over the road, 

And not just few miles;

There are a lot of reasons to cry all over,

but self contentment and acceptance is enough reason to smile.

Diwali is not just lighting the house;

not just worshipping the money god & goddess; 

not just feeling blessed in the avenue of your own luxuries.

It's to cleanse your soul from evil;

lighting the worlds of people around you;

feeling and sharing your blessings around your vicinity;

this is professed by every religion of Humanity

दिवाली के पावन अवसर पर 

अपनी रूह की कमियों पर

शरीर की समाज से अस्वीकृती पर  

दिमाग की छोटी सोच पर 

समाज के बेबुनियाद डर पर 

बीते हुए कल की चिंता पर 

आने वाले कल के अनिश्चित चितवन पर 

समय गवाना छोड़ कर।  

आपका अपने ऊपर काबू पाने पर 

अपने सफलता या असफलता का ज़िम्मा लेना खुद पर 

एक अकेले दिये की रौशनी कम पड़ने पर 

दीयों की पंक्तियाँ प्रज्वलित कर 

एक अकेले दिन की मेहनत पर नहीं 

पुरे रास्ते का सफ़र मापने पर 

मंज़िल तक पहुंचने तक की मेहनत गिनने पर

जब असली अँधेरे से रोशनी मिलने पर 

तब मेरी दिवाली की शुभकामनाये पहुंचेगी आप तक।
