Who are THEY?

They say it's ok to be friends with her,

But never forget we are different !!

She cheers me up when I’m gloomy;

She feeds me when I’m hungry;

She calms me down when I’m angry.

I can’t find the difference but ‘they’ do !

They say She and I are different.

We have different studies;

there could never be harmony in our melodies.

We have different culture;

there could be no convergence in our future.

We have different religions;

our beliefs will always be in friction.

But still I can’t find the difference but ‘they’ do !

Sharing our meals, we eat together;

With studious zeal, we study together;

Sorrow or Smile, we do it together.

During my lonely time, she was there with me not THEM !

During my needy times, she was there with me not THEM !

She was there with me not THEM, 

 for understanding me;

 for making me smile;

 for making me feel important.

Who are they to tell me…. 

Who is important to me?

Who is similar to me?

Who should be what to me?

We may share different courses,

different cultures,

different opinions,

But our verses,

our nurtures,

our union;

are always in harmony.
